Ara Damansara, July 25, 2025 — The Rotary Club of Ara Damansara (RCAD) has installed an important Automated External Defibrillator (AED) at Evolve Concept Mall. This new device is part of their “A Life-Saver in Every Home” (ALEH) campaign, which aims to make AEDs more accessible to everyone.
At the launch event, more than 20 people learned CPR and how to use the AED from St. John Ambulance Malaysia. This training is key to helping people feel confident in a real emergency.
RCAD President Ling Hau Ching said, “Every second counts in a cardiac emergency. By putting an AED in a busy place like Evolve Concept Mall, we’re giving the public a tool that can save lives.”
The project was made possible by a grant from the MDRT Foundation. RCAD thanked Past President Teh Mei Li for her help in getting the grant and Assistant Governor Gordan Vong for his guidance.
YB Dr. Mohammad Fahmi Ngah, a local government official, also praised the club for the effort, pointing out that AEDs can greatly increase survival rates for people who have a sudden cardiac arrest.
The management of Evolve Concept Mall was also recognized for their support in hosting the device and training sessions.
RCAD hopes this installation will encourage more businesses and community groupsto make AEDs available in other locations. The club plans to expand its ALEH campaign to more schools and neighborhoods soon.
